This route is not to be confused with Dovetail Games' NEC: New York route from Newark Airport to New Rochelle released in March 2018.

Northeast Corridor Simulation Development is a team of developers planning on creating the entire Northeast Corridor route from Washington to Boston, a length of 457 miles, once the Train Sim World Editing Tools are released. The route is currently in the planning stages.

The Northeast Corridor route will expand upon Dovetail Games' NEC: New York which runs from Newark Airport to New Rochelle, a length of 32 miles. This route will likely require the NEC: New York route to be purchased if this route is released on the Steam Workshop.

Due to the lack of information concerning the Train Sim World editing tools, it is unknown when production will start and when the route will be released.
